Oilmen’s bonspiel starts tomorrow

The 32nd Annual Red Deer Oilmen’s Bonspiel opens Thursday at the Pidherney Curling Centre.

The 32nd Annual Red Deer Oilmen’s Bonspiel opens Thursday at the Pidherney Curling Centre.

The ‘spiel, which this year features 52 rinks, gets underway at 12:30 p.m. Additional draws Thursday are scheduled for 3 and 5:30 p.m.

Among the favourites to be playing in one of the event finals Sunday are rinks skipped by Clint Challand and Stan Gervais, the second- and third-event winners in 2013.
