OLDS — The Okotoks Oilers jumped into a 4-0 first period lead and went on to down the Olds Grizzlys 6-2 in Alberta Junior Hockey League action before 302 fans Tuesday.

Tariq Hammond, Ty Clay, Ambrose Firkus, Connor Hartley, John Edwardh and Rhett Gardner scored for the Oilers while Chris Gerrie and Austin Kernahan replied for the Grizzlys.

Ethan Jemieff started in goal for Olds and allowed three goals in eight shots over the first 13:36. Jake Tamagi came on and made nine saves on 12 shots. Jared D’Amico finished with 27 saves for the Oilers.
