One person has died and six others were injured when a truck and car crashed in southwestern Alberta.

BLAIRMORE — One person has died and six others were injured when a truck and car crashed in southwestern Alberta.

Crowsnest RCMP say the crash happened Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 3 and 129 Street in Blairmore.

A truck pulling a travel trailer on Highway 3, collided with a vehicle getting on the highway.

The lone 86-year-old man in the vehicle died at the scene.

Police say five of the six passengers in the truck were taken to the local hospital with minor injuries, while the sixth was taken to Lethbridge hospital.
