TORONTO — New Democratic Party leaders are dedicating their Labour Day march in Toronto to late federal party leader Jack Layton.

Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath will join interim federal leader Nycole Turmel and Layton’s children Mike and Sarah Layton to march in Monday’s parade.

Layton, who led the federal party to become Canada’s official Opposition in this spring’s election, died Aug. 22 after a second battle with cancer.

The annual parade is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

The marchers will begin at the corner of University Avenue and Queen Street and the parade ends at the Canadian National Exhibition grounds.
