Orphan Black has scored a leading six nominations for this year’s Directors Guild of Canada Awards.

The hit Space series is up for trophies including best direction and best TV drama series, building on an already huge year in which it’s won a slew of awards.

Just this week star Tatiana Maslany won best actress in a drama series at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards in Los Angeles — an honour she also won last year.

The CBC-TV movie Still Life: A Three Pines Mystery, based on the Louise Penny crime novel, has the second-highest amount of DGC nominations with five.

The Good Witch’s Wonder from the Hallmark Channel is up for four awards.

Several projects have three nods apiece, including the Don McKellar-directed film The Grand Seduction, Denis Villeneuve’s “Enemy” and the CBC-TV miniseries Best Laid Plans.

The Grand Seduction and Enemy are up for best feature film against Cas & Dylan, The F Word and Gabrielle.

The awards gala, which will honour nominees in 19 categories, is set for Oct. 25 in Toronto.
