Time to hang up your skates for the season. All city outdoor ice surfaces including this one in Eastview Estates and community activity centres are also closed for the season because of warm temperatures and the big melt.

Time to hang up your skates for the season. All city outdoor ice surfaces including this one in Eastview Estates and community activity centres are also closed for the season because of warm temperatures and the big melt. Bower Ponds, Anders on the Lake and West Lake skating areas are now closed due to poor ice conditions. Ice thickness will be monitored at these locations and signs will be placed as conditions become unstable. The public is asked to obey all signs and barricades and to keep off areas that are deemed as unsafe. City crews are currently shttign down light systems and removing hockey nets from ice surfaces.
