Red Deer teams captured a pair of medals at the St. Albert Turkey Ring ringette tournament during the weekend.

Red Deer teams captured a pair of medals at the St. Albert Turkey Ring ringette tournament during the weekend.

The U12A Communications Group Razz captured gold and the U14A State Farm Resistance silver.

The Razz defeated the Cochrane Rockies 3-1 in a battle of undefeated teams in the final. Earlier they beat St. Albert 4-1, Calgary 15-2 and Edmonton 9-2 in their pool before stopping St. Albert 6-2 in the semifinals.

The Resistance were also 3-0 in their pool as they defeated Edmonton 11-2, St. Albert 7-2 and Fort Saskatchewan 5-1.

They stopped St. Albert 8-3 in the semifinals before losing to the undefeated Medicine Hat Stealth 8-4 in the final.
