Parkland Fuel Corp. (TSX: PKI) has appointed a new senior vice-president and chief financial officer.

Michael Lambert will replace Andrew Cruickshank in the position, effective Sept. 1, the company announced on Monday. Cruickshank will return to his previous role of vice-president of finance. Lambert has held senior finance positions with public companies, including as CFO of the Forzani Group, executive vice-president and CFO of Canadian Pacific Railway Co., executive vice-president of Canadian Tire Ltd. and president of Canadian Tire’s Mark’s Work Wearhouse division.

“Mike’s extensive experience in leading the finance functions of large public companies, as well as his broad exposure to operations and strategy, is a terrific fit with Parkland,” said Bob Espey, president and CEO of Parkland. Cruickshank took over Parkland’s CFO position on an interim basis after Ken Grondin resigned, effective July 1.

Parkland, which is based in Red Deer, is Canada’s largest independent fuel distributor and marketer.
