Pay parking system needs to change

Parking is always a problem and can be expensive. If I come to visit, I have a choice in how long I will stay and so pay accordingly. However, if I come for a test, that is an unknown time.

So there I am, trying to estimate how long I should pay for. I pay for extra time as I don’t want to be running out to put more money in a meter. In the hospital parking, why can’t I pay as I leave?

As to street parking, it seemed absurd that when I arrived very early one morning the meter was fed from away from the street, making it dark and very hard to read the meter and dangerous with the snow and the slope of the land.

I sincerely wish that we could pay as we leave. This will eliminate some of the stress to a sick person and/or the person attending the sick person.

I have been to the hospital parking in Vancouver and Kamloops, and with each of those you pay when leaving.
