PEI man, 22, killed when two motorbikes collide in northwestern Alberta

A man from Prince Edward Island has been killed in a collision involving two off-road motorcycles in northwestern Alberta.

GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta. — A man from Prince Edward Island has been killed in a collision involving two off-road motorcycles in northwestern Alberta.

RCMP say the 22-year-old was going west on a secondary highway near Grande Prairie on Friday night.

They say he collided with another motorcycle that was heading east in the westbound lane.

The victim, whose name and hometown have not been released, was knocked from his bike and died in hospital the following day.

The rider of the other motorcycle — a 23-year-old man from Grande Prairie — hurt his right arm.

Both men were taken to hospital by someone who knew them.
