Peterman, Orr in field at curling junior finals

Red Deer rinks skipped by Jocelyn Peterman and Megan Orr will make up half the field in the women’s division of the Southern Alberta Curling Association junior finals Friday to Sunday at the Red Deer Curling Centre.

Joining the Red Deer teams will be foursomes skipped by Courtney Missikewitz of Airdrie and Kayla Ramstad of Lethbridge/Calgary.

The boys division consists of eight teams, including the Sundre crew skipped by Dylan Webster. Also competing will be teams headed by Kyler Kleibrink of Okotoks, Denton Koch of Medicine Hat, Spencer Briggs of Strathmore, Josh Carroll of Oyen, Michael Roy of Airdrie, Scott Smith of Calgary and Dylan Garinger of Coaldale.

The first men’s draw is Friday at 7 p.m. and the women get underway at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

At stake will be berths in the provincial championships Jan. 11-15 at Medicine Hat.
