OMG! I met my daughter at Three Mile Bend last Sunday and was appalled at the condition of the park.
I was embarrassed to be there with my dog. What does a person have to tell themselves to justify not picking up after their dog?
Yeah, it’s gross — I get it. But that is what a responsible dog owner does!
The city offers us this great place to run our dogs — and even supplies bags.
Is it like the domino effect, where one guy sees another not doing his part, so he figures he doesn’t have to either?
We’re not perfect, there are going to be jerks no matter what, but could I suggest that the next time you see someone not picking up after their dog, that you challenge them; sometimes all it takes is offering them a bag.
And to those of you who have such a blatant disregard to others and their pets — STAY HOME.
