Two people were injured in a small plane crash in northern Alberta.

MANNING — Two people were injured in a small plane crash in northern Alberta.

Mounties say the single-engine, two passenger plane, went down about 26 kilometres southeast of Manning on Sunday night.

The pilot and passenger were taken to Manning Health Centre, then transferred by air ambulance to hospitals in Edmonton.

Police say it’s believed the plane, which was built and owned by the pilot, went down almost immediately after take-off.
