The Alix museum intends to create and record a pioneer skills exhibit thanks to a $750 grant from the Red Deer and District Community Foundation. The Alix Wagon Wheel Museum plans the demonstration as a 40th anniversary project. The pioneer demonstration will include skills, stories, music and dance. The demonstrations are intended to be recorded so they can be shared more easily with museum visitors. The museum, which houses local artifacts relating to area history, is located in an old pool hall at 4912 50th St. in Alix. In June, the museum is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m. For July and August, the museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For details about the museum, email alixmuseum@gmail.com.
