CALGARY — Enbridge Inc. and its U.S. affiliate said Monday they are planning two projects to connect crude oil in the West to refineries in the East.
The companies (TSX:ENB) (NYSE:EEP) plan to spend $100 million to expand Line 5 — a pipeline that runs from Superior, Wis., to Sarnia, Ont. — by 50,000 barrels a day.
They will also spend $20 million to reverse the flow of part of Line 9 in western Ontario so that crude can flow from Sarnia to Westover, Ont.
