A theatrical show “that unravels the beautiful messiness of divine intimacy” will be shown in Red Deer.

The Deer Park Alliance Church presents Breathe, based on the award-winning book, Close Enough to Hear God Breathe, by Greg Pauls, on Friday.

Created by award-winning actor and filmmaker Jason Hildebrand, with music by contemporary jazz composer Mike Janzen, Breathe is the story of a man seeking a personal connection to God. The show tells his life story through the eyes of various characters he meets along the way.

Breathe is being made into a feature film that’s partially funded by the Salvation Army of Canada.

The 7 p.m. stage show at the 2960-39th Street church is free. Everyone is welcome.
