Wesley Allan Morphy, 31, was among a group of people arrested over a period of five days in January 2011 by RCMP investigating drug trafficking and weapons offences.

Morphy was arraigned in Red Deer Court of Queen’s Bench on a variety of charges on Monday, including possession of controlled substances for trafficking, producing controlled substances, possession of controlled substances, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless use or storage of a firearm.

Red Deer lawyer Michael Scrase advised the court that he and the Crown are working out a possible resolution, but need more time to complete negotiations.

The arraignment has been adjourned to Dec. 3.
