MONTREAL — World poker champion Jonathan Duhamel is recovering after being the victim of a home invasion at his house near Montreal.

Longueuil police confirm that two men forced their way into a Boucherville borough home Wednesday morning but would not confirm the name of the victim. However, Duhamel’s agent Yves Bouchard says it was his client.

Longueuil police say the robbers rang the doorbell of the home and then pushed their way in when it was opened.

Although he was roughed up by the robbers, Duhamel was able to call 9-1-1 after they left.

The poker player had to be treated in hospital for minor injuries although he has now been released.
