CALGARY — Police say charges are pending against a woman they have identified as the mother of a newborn found in a Calgary dumpster.
They say the woman was taken to hospital an hour after the baby boy was discovered by passersby.
Information suggests that she didn’t know she was pregnant until the birth.
The father wasn’t aware of the child’s existence until it was discovered.
A psychological assessment is to be performed on the woman.
The baby is stable in hospital.
