Police investigate two deaths in Calgary home of ex-sportscaster Billy Powers

Calgary police have found two bodies a home owned by Alberta Hall of Fame sportscaster Billy Powers and his wife Donna.

CALGARY — Calgary police have found two bodies a home owned by Alberta Hall of Fame sportscaster Billy Powers and his wife Donna.

Police have not released details or identities on the deceased, but CHQR radio has confirmed the home belongs to the Powers.

Billy Powers retired in October 2009 after almost 50 years in the sports broadcasting and communications business.

He worked mainly in radio, covering sports and the Calgary Stampeders football team.

He also worked for a brief period in the late 1980s as media co-ordinator for the Stampeders.

He was inducted into the hall of fame in 2001.
