Police rescue girl, arrest man, following child porn probe

Police in Alberta say they have charged a man and rescued a four-year-old girl following a child pornography investigation.

HINTON— Police in Alberta say they have charged a man and rescued a four-year-old girl following a child pornography investigation.

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team’s Internet Child Exploitation unit says the case involves a girl from Hinton and a 52-year-man who was arrested last month at a work camp.

Kenneth McKinley faces sexual assault, sexual interference and child pornography charges.He was to appear today in Hinton provincial court.

RCMP Sgt. Mike Lokken (lock-en) says police began investigating after receiving a tip from the RCMP National Child Exploitation Centre in Ottawa about images that suggested that the girl was being abused.

He said the suspect is not related to the girl and she is safe with her family
