CANMORE, Alta. — Alcohol, speed, no seat-belts and a 15-year-old Calgary boy behind the wheel.
Mounties say those factors resulted in a serious crash today on the Trans-Canada Highway near Canmore.
RCMP responded to a complaint of a drunk driver just before 5:30 a.m. and found the vehicle on the side of the highway, but it took off and wouldn’t stop.
Police gave chase and the vehicle lost control, rolling at the entrance to a construction zone near Canmore.
Two people were thrown from the vehicle.
Both the passenger and driver were taken to hospital in unknown condition.
