Police are searching for a missing 12-year-old Red Deer girl who was last seen near her middle school in the Lancaster area.

Police are searching for a missing 12-year-old Red Deer girl who was last seen near her middle school in the Lancaster area.

Madison Skoglund left school with a friend and was last at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. She did not arrive home.

Police have looked for the missing girl at several known hangouts, but have yet to find her.

Skoglund is Caucasian, 1.57 metres (five-foot-two) tall, and weighs about 45 kg (100 pounds). She has shoulder-length red hair with black streaks and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a fluorescent orange bra with straps showing and possibly a white/pink/purple zip-up sweater and shorts, or black fleece PJ pants with pink and purple hearts on them. She was possibly barefoot.

Anyone with information about the missing girl should call Red Deer City RCMP at 403-343-5575.
