Police search for suspect in robbery at Scotiabank

Red Deer RCMP are searching for a man who robbed the Scotiabank at the corner of 67th Street and Gaetz Avenue on Monday afternoon.Shortly before 2:45 p.m., the suspect entered the bank, demanded money from an employee, and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Red Deer RCMP are searching for a man who robbed the Scotiabank at the corner of 67th Street and Gaetz Avenue on Monday afternoon.

Shortly before 2:45 p.m., the suspect entered the bank, demanded money from an employee, and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

No weapon was produced and no one was injured.

Police said the dye pack inserted into the money deployed and they believe the suspect’s hands and possibly his face will be stained with red dye.

The suspect drove away in a black Nissan truck and was last seen southbound on Gaetz Avenue.

The suspect was described as Caucasian, medium height and build, with short hair and a brown moustache and beard. He wore a brown or black cap.
