Postal worker who stole mail sentenced to 22 months

ST. ALBERT — A former Canada Post postman has been sentenced to 22 months house arrest for stealing mail.

John Kobitowich, 40, used to deliver mail in Edmonton and St. Albert.

He was arrested in January after an investigation found missing mail dating back to 1993.

Kobitowich pleaded guilty in May to theft of mail and refusing to deliver.
