Pratt and Simpson capture national BMX titles

Pratt struck gold in the 15-16 year-old male cruiser event and also finished fourth in the 15-year-old division, while Simpson was victorious in the 11-year-old female class.

Chase Harrison was runner-up to Pratt in the cruiser event, while Halle Graham (nine-year-old female) and Sarah Stahl (14-year-old female) also placed second in their respective divisions.

William Welikoklad was third and Ryder Graham seventh in the 10-year-old male class, Peter Snape was fourth in the 45-plus male cruiser, Eric Hunter and Shayne Hall placed fifth and eighth, respectively, among the seven-year-old male riders, Ryan Raymont and Nickolas Nugent were sixth and eighth in the eight-year-old male division and Evan Stahl was sixth in the 11-year-old male class.

The Red Deer BMX Club will host Alberta provincial series races 5 and 6 this weekend. The races start at 11 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.
