— Calgary got seven cabinet ministers one of which is an associate minister;

— Edmonton got four, two of whom are associate ministers;

— The rest of the province got nine including one each in Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, St. Albert and Wetaskiwin.

As the Advocate reported in its headline, Red Deer was shut out, but so was Lethbridge.

Prentice must have said to himself and his advisers: if not the one, then not the other big city either.

So Calgary won the cabinet battle hands down. Jim, you can balance better than that!
