In what is a growing trend, Amherstburg, Ont., recently passed a moratorium on adding artificial fluoride to the town’s drinking water.

As evidence against the efficacy and safety of this practice mounts the old paradigm is rapidly crumbling. Better use can be made of the tax revenue devoted to this antiquated and potentially dangerous practice.

I urge city council to join the other 13 progressive Canadian municipalities such as Amherstburg who in the last 15 months have stopped adding this product to their water supply.
