Quebec woman dies in Alberta car accident

A Quebec woman was killed when the car she was in hit two trees and a light standard in an Alberta town.

OKOTOKS — A Quebec woman was killed when the car she was in hit two trees and a light standard in an Alberta town.

Police say 20-year-old Eve Parisi of Sainte-Catherine was ejected and died in hospital.

She was a rear passenger in a Ford Mustang that was speeding along a boulevard in Okotoks, just south of Calgary, when the driver lost control.

The driver, who tried to flee, was not seriously injured.

A male passenger in the front seat was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say alcohol may also have been a factor and they are considering whether to lay charges.
