Quit using quality farmland for neighbourhoods

The City of Red Deer is covering some of the best farmland in Central Alberta with concrete and pavement.

There aren’t a lot of areas that have a half to one metre of productive black soil and the city should look for less productive land for expansion.

Oil brings “big bucks” but farmers feed the world!
