The Red Deer MSI peewee A Rage took top honours in a bantam girls softball tournament at Great Chief Park during the weekend.

The Rage opened the tournament with an 18-2 thumping of Ardrossan, then rolled over Medicine Hat 10-4. Following an 8-2 round-robin loss to Lloydminster, the Rage knocked off Strathmore 11-5 in a semifinal and beat the Rebels 4-0 in the gold-medal game. The Rage have a 25-5 record this season and will compete in the Girls Prairie Softball League’s final tournament of the season June 22-24 at Lloydminster.
