Rain has forced the cancellation of the Red Deer Airport’s Boot Scootn’ BBQ Lunch.
The Westerner Days lunch was slated to get underway at 11:30 a.m. at the airport (3801 Airport Drive, Springbrook).
• Due to safety concerns for the animals and drivers, the All Pro Chuckwagon and Chariot Association has cancelled tonight’s races at the Westerner.
This is the second consecutive day the weather has forced the cancellation of the races.
Weather permitting, the races are anticipated to return to action on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. with finals running on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
