I have been a member of Central Alberta Theatre for over 40 years and was saddened to hear that CAT is in trouble financially after all these years of successful entertainment.
Talking over Centre Stage, hoping it would help Red Deer’s downtown image, was a difficult and unfortunate decision causing CAT to be so much in debt.
We enjoyed the success and popularity of dinner theatre in the Elks and then the Black Knight Inn, where we staged over 100 plays and entertained hundreds of patrons from 1976 until now.
It is to be hoped that the patrons and citizens rally round to keep Central Alberta Theatre alive for years to come.
