Rampage sweep weekend

The Red Deer TBS Rampage rolled through their junior B tier I weekend, beating the Sherwood Park Titans 9-4 on the road Saturday and then edging the Mounatinview Silvertips 8-6 on Sunday at the Kinex.

The Red Deer TBS Rampage rolled through their junior B tier I weekend, beating the Sherwood Park Titans 9-4 on the road Saturday and then edging the Mounatinview Silvertips 8-6 on Sunday at the Kinex.

Cole DeGraaf had scored two goals and an assist in the win over Sherwood Park while Patrick Vellner added a goal and two assists and Marshall Just, John Goransen and Curtis Ennis all had a goal and an assist. Josh Sullivan, Conner Hartley and Taylor Steele added singles.

Adam Mooney was solid in net for the win.

Spencer Einhorn led the attack Sunday with two goals and an assist while Kevin Langlois and Just both scored twice. Sullivan and Cashman Tamashire both tallied once. Russ Cunningham also had a big game with four assists.

l In Junior B tier II action the Red Deer Road Train Revenge split their weekend, blowing out the Edmonton Warriors 12-1 on Saturday and then losing 6-5 to the Red Deer Weatherford Renegades on Sunday.

Taylor Campbell scored a hat trick in the win in Edmonton while Nathanael Greter and Sean Doyle scored twice. David Westwood, Pearse Just, Brock Forbes, Justin Connolly and Braeden Krips added singles.

In the loss to the Revenge Forbes and Greter both scored twice while Skylar Sargent scored their other goal.

Mitch Vellner, Scott Ebbert and Londyn Chu all scored twice for the winners.

The Renegades also beat the Edmonton Blues on Saturday 9-3. Dion Daoust had a huge game with four goals and Ebbert added a hat trick to lead the charge. Jeremy Danderfer and Brock Embury rounded out the scoring for the Renegades.

l In women’s action, the Red Deer Rage split a weekend twin bill against Sherwood Park, losing 13-7 Saturday and winning 11-8 Sunday.

Deanna Hume and Hayley deBeaudrap scored three goals each Saturday with Jenelle Sullivan adding a single marker.

On Sunday, deBeaudrap connected four times with Hume and Leah Boucher scoring twice each and Jenessa Sullivan, Jenelle Sullivan and Paige Sweetnam once apiece.

The Rage, who sport a 5-1 record, return to action Saturday when they host the Edmonton Warriors at 1:30 p.m. at the Kinex.
