Kirstin Ramsay dropped in 27 points Wednesday as the Lacombe Rams downed the Rocky Mountain House West Central Rebels 60-35 and advanced to the next round of the Central Alberta 3A senior girls basketball playoffs.

Kayla Blacquiere scored nine points and Maddy Brown added eight for the Rams, who will travel to Wetaskiwin Monday to face the Sabres. Sarah Walton led West Central with 10 points.

Meanwhile, in 3A senior boys playoff action, the Ponoka Broncs got 26 points from Chandler McLaren and 13 from Ducker Dougherty in a 64-48 win over West Central, in the process earning a date with the Camrose Trojans in the next round. Chris Soodsma drained 17 points for the Rebels, who got an additional 12 from Levi Jones.
