BEISEKER — RCMP in south-central Alberta are investigating an alleged break and enter at the Encana site in the village of Beiseker.

Officers say a witness reported seeing a man cutting the locks to the site.

He was then seen walking around the property, checking doors and peering into the windows of trailers.

So far, nothing has been reported stolen.

Mounties describe the man as wearing a blue jacket and dark pants, both with reflective markings, a dark hooded jacket and a baseball cap.

Encana sites have been the targets of six bombings in northern B.C.

An anonymous person claimed responsibility for the bombings, condemning oil and natural gas development and warning companies to leave the area.
