DRAYTON VALLEY— Alberta RCMP are on the lookout for two suspects and a stolen white Dodge Caravan following an armed carjacking in Drayton Valley.

Mounties say that early Sunday morning, two men were sitting in their vehicle in a parking lot when they were approached by two unknown men.

One of the suspects held a knife to the passenger in the vehicle and demanded the two occupants get out of the vehicle.

Police say the victims put up a bit of a fight and received cuts to their hands as a result.

Mounties say the passenger in the vehicle managed to get away while the other victim remained in the vehicle struggling with the two suspects.

Police say one of the suspects then pulled out a rifle and hit the driver on the head with the base of the gun, causing one round to fire into the air.

The suspects then took off in the white 2000 Dodge Caravan with Alberta licence plate ZTG-892.

The two victims were sent to hospital to be treated for minor cuts at the Drayton Valley Hospital. Police say they were unable to provide a description of their attackers.
