Australia’s country rock renegades The Re-Mains will perform some high-octane banjo and steel guitar music in Olds this week.

The party band that’s fond of straddling two hemispheres plays on Saturday (July 2) at Tracks Pub.

The Re-Mains have been described as “the bastard love child of Keith Richards and Bob Dylan,” and were declared to be Australia’s best country rock band by the Melbourne Age.

With songs that include Tequila and Methadone, The Re-Mains have toured Canada so often that they’ve starting adding some Canuck content to their mix with the tunes Darn Tootin’ in Saskatchewan and Winnipeg Girls.
