The annual poppy campaign prior to Remembrance Day gets underway on Friday, Oct. 28, with a two-day blitz by volunteers selling at 14 major city and area retailers. A dropoff effort at businesses and community organizations by volunteers will follow on Monday, Oct. 31. Businesses and service organizations wanting to purchase a wreath or cross can call the Legion poppy office at 403-342-0035.
