The Central Alberta Realtors Association has reported that a record number of home sales were processed through the Multiple Listing Service in April.
The association said 569 residential units changed hands in Central Alberta last month — a 22 per cent increase over April 2013 and the third highest tally for any month ever.
Provincewide, sales activity in April was up 12 per cent from the same period in 2013.
The association also said that 2014 MLS home sales for the region as of April 30 were about 10 per cent ahead of the total for the same four months in 2013. It added that this marked the best start to any year since 2007.
