Red Deer College has launched itself into the world of Facebook.
The college joined the online ranks Monday and will link up with such college entities as the Alumni Association, Red Deer College athletics, Campus Recreation, the college library and the performing arts.
Cindy Corah, a college spokesman, said the Facebook page is a method to connect to and create community with friends of the college.
The page will be used to share things that the college is excited about such as news, special events, programming information and celebrate daily college events.
The college is running a contest to its Facebook users to win an iPad 2. The contest runs until Nov. 14 and is open to anyone who uses the page.
