Red Deer College alumni Andrew Kooman speaks to Corinne Krogman of Red Deer during his book launch at The Second Cup this week.

Kooman was joined by family and friends as he launched his book Ten Silver Coins: The Drylings of Acchora. His novel released this week is an adventure story about a young girl who is forced to flee her home.

He says it is a story of courage and imagination. Based out of Red Deer, Kooman frequently travels abroad, to write, partner with organizations and to teach writing.
