The Red Deer Peewee A Rage were 6-0 in Prairie Softball League action during the weekend.
The Rage ripped the Calgary Adrenaline 7-0, with Myah Cota getting two hits and driving in a run and Brooke Cassidy and Cassidy Hollman each knocking in a run. Kirsten Baumgardt pitched two innings and Kaylee Domoney came on in relief, with the pair combining on a two-hitter.
In a 9-2 win over the Lloydminster Rebels, Domoney had a triple and single with two RBI, and Kate Eisenhawer had two hits. Zoe Hicks fanned four batters over five innings and Kirsten Pinkney worked one inning in relief.
From there, the Rage whipped the St. Albert Angels 19-1, slipped past the St. Albert Angels 4-3, downed the Prince Albert Aces 6-1 and blew past the River City Hurricanes 14-1.
Against the Angels, Hicks and Pinkney each stroked a double and Domoney had a triple and a single. Domoney, Pinkney and Baumgardt combined on a four-hit pitching performance.
Domoney cracked a homer and drove in two runs in the win over St. Albert and also recorded two strikeouts over four innings on the Red Deer mound. Hicks worked one inning of relief.
Against the Aces, Hicks and Domoney each slugged a home run in the same inning, with Domoney coming up with a two-run round-tripper and Hicks contributing a solo shot. Cota stroked a double and single and Hicks pitched four innings with six strikeouts and Pinkney fanned five batters over three frames.
Baumgardt stroked a triple and single, Hicks had a double and Tyla Lee had three singles in the win over River City. Domoney pitched four innings with four strikeouts and Hicks pitched the final inning in relief.
