Sex toy capital of Canada?
Not quite, but Red Deer shouldn’t be embarrassed by its ranking among Canadian cities when it comes to purchases of adult toys — or perhaps it should, depending on your point of view.
In a list issued by PinkCherry Sex Toys Canada, Red Deer held down the number 5 spot when it came to the online retailer’s most common delivery destinations. The rankings were based on PinkCherry’s sales per capita in 2013, with its products including adult novelty items and lingerie.
Topping the 25-city list was Victoria, followed by Grande Prairie and then the New Brunswick communities of Fredericton and Moncton. Medicine Hat trailed Red Deer at number 6, with Lethbridge 10th, Edmonton 11th and Calgary 15th.
