In all of my years (69) in Red Deer (born, raised and lived here with the exception of two to three years), I have never seen our streets in such poor condition.
Here it is the middle of May and the city is still dragging its feet and doing nothing while we taxpayers bear the brunt of trying to negotiate our roads, dodging potholes, wide cracks, low water valves, high or low manhole covers, etc.
What they have done so far with their cold mix has barely made a dent in a bad situation and the cold mix fix is only a temporary solution.
Where are our tax dollars going?
Whoever is in charge has done a very poor job and should be let go. Get someone in there who cares and knows asphalt road repair sufficiently to get the job done.
This is a bl--dy disgrace!
