Red Deer teams won both the men’s and women’s titles at the 10th annual Rangers senior indoor soccer tournament during the weekend.

The Renegades took the men’s crown and City captured the women’s A Division.

The Renegades beat Calgary SC 10-0 in the final after edging the Red Deer Rovers 3-2, Lethbridge College 4-2 and Calgary Juventus 7-4 in pool play.

The City squad, which is made up of players from the Red Deer Major League team, lost 1-0 to Red Deer U18, beat Grande Prairie College 3-2, the Calgary Cobras 6-1 and Edmonton Concordia University College 4-2 in round-robin play.

The U18 squad lost 4-3 to Grande Prairie and 5-2 to Concordia and beat the Cobras 6-4 to finish second.

The Red Deer Dutch Lions dropped a 4-2 decision to Edmonton Sparta in the men’s B side final.

Earlier they tied Drayton Valley Youngmen 5-5 and beat Calgary United 8-0 and the Edmonton Cosmos 6-0.

The women’s B title went to Calgary Regazze with a 4-1 win over Edmonton T and A.
