Red Deer woman killed in rollover

A 19-year-old Red Deer woman is dead following a single-vehicle rollover on Hwy 587, east of the James River Store on Saturday evening.

Sundre RCMP released few details except to say around 7:30 p.m., the vehicle carrying three people rolled. One passenger and the driver were taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Amanda Kerrie Harlos, 19, a recent graduate of Red Deer College’s Hospitality and Tourism Program, died as a result of the collision.

Sundre RCMP Cpl. Ryan Hodge said the incident is under investigation and charges are pending. Hodge said alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

A funeral service for Harlos will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel.
