• Berry Architecture Wellness Bike Ride will take place on Aug. 27 in support of the Central Alberta Brain Injury Society. Choose a 50 km or 100 km supported route in Central Alberta. • Walk a Mile In Her Shoes fundraising event for the Central Alberta Pregnancy Centre will be held on June 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Rotary Park Picnic Shelter. Sign in at the picnic shelter at 2 p.m. and enjoy a beautiful walk with friends and family along Red Deer’s trails. • Investors Group Memory Walk in support of the Alzheimer Society will take place on June 18, 5 p.m. at Sunnybrook Farm Museum. Walk 5 km through the trail system and enjoy family fun and a barbecue after. Early bird registration by June 1 is $10, ($15 after June 1) and a chance at a provincial draw for $100. • 17th Annual Heart and Stroke Golf Classic will be held on June 9 at Innisfail Golf Club. Registration and breakfast begin at 7:00 am; a shotgun start opens the tournament at 8:00 am. Refreshments will be offered on the course. Entry fee of $200 includes breakfast, souvenir item, power cart, skill prizes, and a full course awards dinner. Local car and motorcycle dealerships will once again be offering an opportunity to win cash or vehicles on the par 3 holes. Please note that an official tax receipt will not be issued.
