Edmonton Scottish scored late to edge the Red Deer Renegades 5-4 in U18 Tier I Edmonton Interdistrict Youth Soccer League girls’ play during the weekend.
The Renegades trailed 4-2, but scored twice to tie the game with 15 minutes remaining. Kaitlin Darcy scored twice for Red Deer with singles added by Taylor Heist and Sydney Daines.
The Renegades visit the Edmonton South West United Wednesday.
In other news Red Deer will host the provincial U18, U16 and U12 boys’ and girls’ championships at Edgar Park and McLean Fields, Aug. 17-19.
