Renegades take third in U18 Tier II play

The Red Deer Renegades took third in the U18 Tier II division of the Red Deer City Soccer Association’s girls’ indoor tournament at the Collicutt Centre during the weekend.

The Calgary Blizzard won the division with Edmonton Juventus second.

Meanwhile the Calgary Foothills ‘00 won the U12 Tier I title with the Foothills ‘99 taking the U14 Tier I crown.

The Calgary SWU Athletica was first in the U14 Tier II category and the Cochrane United Wolves first in the U16 Tier II division.

The Red Deer City Soccer Association will host their boys’ indoor tournament, beginning Friday.

l In U18 Tier II boys’ play the Renegades beat the Edmonton Drillers 2-1 as Josh Cruickshank and Juan Moreno scored once each.

Brody Slagman was spectacular in goal.
